Racismo en el fútbol profesional español (1ª y 2ª división). Temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. (Racism in the Spanish professional football (1st and 2nd division). Seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06).

Resumen

En la presente investigación se analizan los incidentes racistas ocurridos en los partidos de liga del fútbol profesional español en 1ª y 2ª división durante las temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. Para realizar dicho análisis se han empleado tres fuentes oficiales: 1. Actas de la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia en los Espectáculos Deportivos, 2. Informes trimestrales realizados por la Oficina Nacional del Deporte perteneciente a la Dirección General de la Policía, y 3. Actas arbitrales. Los resultados muestran cómo el número total de incidentes racistas se mantuvo prácticamente constante en ambas temporadas aunque en 2ª división el número de incidentes se duplicó. En cuanto a la tipología de los incidentes recogidos, el 79% hace relación a conductas e insultos racistas mientras que el 21% restante se refiere a la exhibición de simbología de carácter racista. También se muestran datos de los clubes cuyos seguidores han ocasionado más incidentes racistas; cuántos de esos incidentes fueron protagonizados por grupos ultras; así como el número de personas implicadas y las propuestas de sanción realizadas por la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia. Por último se reflejan los colegiados que recogieron en sus actas arbitrales incidentes racistas y/o xenófobos.

Abstract

This investigation analyzes the racist incidents occurred during spanish proffesional football games of the 1st and 2nd division in the seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06. To conduct such analysis it was used three official sources: 1. Minutes of the National Committee against Violence in Public Spectacles, 2. Quarterly reports elaborated by the Sport National Bureau belonging to the Police National Department, and 3. Referees’ minutes. Results show how the total number of racist incidents was practically the same in both seasons, however in the 2nd division the number of incidents was twice as compared to the 1st division. Regarding the typology of the incidents analyzed, 79 % were related to racist behaviors and insults, and 21 % to exhibition of racist symbology. In addition, this study shows the clubs which supporters have been involved in more racist incidents and the number of these incidents related with groups of hooligans. Number of people involved and sanctions proposals elaborated by the National Committee against Violence were also included. Finally, it is the list with the names of the referees that have written racist or xenophobic incidents in their minutes.
