Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the motor response of soccer players training in different tasks measures through GPS devices and to estimate the variability and reproducibility. 12 amateurs players made in three training sessions three small-sided game situations those changed only the orientation of the field. The physical profile was analyzed using the distance covered from five intensities (0-6.9, 7.0-12.9, 13.0-17.9, 18.0-20.9 and >21 km∙h-1) and total distance (TD). Within the General Linear Model it was performed an analysis of the variance and the accuracy of generalization with a design of three facets: participant, session and orientation. The results showed that changing the orientation of the space in the task influenced the DT and displacement to low intensity, but not to high intensity. We found low variability and high reproducibility in variables as DT and distances covered to low speed, although they reduced when increased the intensity of the displacement. The study suggests lines to optimize training from the variable field orientation.
