Acciones finales discriminantes de voleibol en categorías de formación masculina: importancia del saque en los partidos igualados. (Discriminatory volleyball final actions in male formative stages: importance ).

Resumen

El objetivo principal del presente estudio fue constatar la importancia del saque en categorías de formación en voleibol masculina y determinar qué otras acciones son relevantes para la victoria en el quinto set de los partidos igualados. Se recogieron un total de 218 partidos (102 en categoría infantil y 116 en categoría cadete), 755 sets (354 en categoría infantil y 401 en categoría cadete) y 744 jugadores (360 en categoría infantil y 384 en categoría cadete de los Campeonatos de España de Voleibol de Valladolid 2008 y Huelva 2009 (España) en edad escolar masculino (12-16 años). Finalmente se analizaron sólo el quinto set de los partidos igualados. Los resultados del análisis discriminante, mostraron como el saque positivo en ambas categorías, el error en categoría infantil y el ataque positivo en categoría cadete predicen la victoria y/o derrota en el quinto set. Estos sugieren que en momentos decisivos de set y en ambas categorías, el acierto en las acciones ofensivas y el control del patrón técnico del saque es fundamental en estos partidos igualados.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to confirm the importance of the serve on formatives stages male volleyball and determine what actions are relevant to the victory in the fifth set on equal matches. We collected a total of 218 matches (102 and 116 in infantile and cadet categories), 755 sets (354 and 401 in infantile and cadet categories) and 744 players (360 and 384 in infantile and cadet categories) of the Spain Volleyball Championships held in Huelva and Valladolid in 2008 and 2009 (Spain) at school-age (12-16 years). Finally were analyzed only the fifth set of equal matches. The results of the discriminant analysis showed how the positive serve in both categories, the error in infantile category and in cadet positive attack may predict victory and / or defeat in the fifth set. They suggest that, in both categories, the success in offensive actions and control of the technical pattern of the serve are essential in these closed matches during set decisive moments.
